Sistema.bio in Cambodia: a new horizon

A long time ago, before Sistema.bio even formally started, we saw a lot of problems in the way this world was running. And when we first started our adventure, in an Influenza-ridden Mexico, we found a passion for finding solutions. It is thanks to that passion that we continue to cross milestones even in difficult times.

Yet, as we have stated many times before, we can’t do this on our own. Ours is a field of collaboration: revolutions need allies. Today we are here to share with you the work done with one of our newest allies, an alliance that has forever broadened our horizon of possibilities.

The partnership started when ATEC Cambodia, another award-winning social enterprise, approached Sistema.bio with the intention of purchasing some of our state-of-the-art biodigesters. After careful and diligent conversations, they placed an order for six of our biodigesters to be delivered at Cambodia.

Now, here comes the truly transformative part of this particular venture: our biodigesters traveled alone. In our very first remote installation process, our team trained the ATEC team on biodigester installation via pre-produced materials such as videos, presentations, and step-by-step instructions. The gigantic material preparation done by our team was then followed-up with one-on-one sessions where all questions and doubts were solved.

The idea of creating online training materials came with the Coronavirus pandemic: we realized we could not always be physically present. Our team created the webinar with the idea of having easily shareable technical training for partners outside of our main countries of action.

After the online training, the ATEC team installed the biodigesters completely on their own. So far, the very skilled team has installed three biodigesters out of the six that were purchased.

For Sistema.bio, times of change have always been the fertile soil in which we thrive —because we work in resilience, in innovation, in sustainability. We are here to work, hand in hand with small farmers, in changing this world. We hope to continue finding skilled, proactive partners that help us take this crisis as a starting point toward a better tomorrow. Now that we can work with others in remote installation, we hope to reach many, many more farming families. We believe in our biodigesters, and we believe in our solution. This is the era of biogas.
