Sales department hit a high of 905 digesters

Kenya is one of our fastest growing markets. In May, the sales department hit a high of 905 digesters while the technical team installed 38 digesters every single week despite the challenging weather conditions. Our expansion to Eldoret and Meru has seen the installation of both the small scale and large scale units. This demonstrates the readiness of Kenyan farmers to adopt the use of sustainable energy and agricultural options. Soon we are launching other products to take advantage of biogas in increasing farm’s productivity and further enable more saving for farmers. Some of the upcoming products include water heaters and industrial biogas burners.

Sistema.bio Launches in Meru and Kericho

Sistema.bio officially launched operations in Meru and Kericho Counties in Kenya to target small to large scale farmers.  During the launch events, farmer cooperatives and the County governments expressed support towards making their counties energy and fertilizer independent by engaging in active promotions and supportive mechanisms to improve affordability amongst it’s members. This will include, among others, collaboration in ensuring efficiency in loan collections that is offered by Sistema.bio at 0% interest. To complement this move, Sistema.bio through it’s Commercial Lead, Cedrick Todwell committed to extend the repayment periods for farmers who enrol through those cooperatives to 15 months.

“If we as leaders adopt this technology, then our communities will adopt it. So let’s all take the lead in our respective cooperatives and subcounties and show them that this is the way to go,” said Tanui- Director of Livestock

“Let us all collaborate strongly to enable our farmers access the Hybrid Reactor Technology. We trust Sistema.bio and it’s technology and that’s why today we have allowed and supported them to successfully launch in our County,” said  Edward Munoru

For the remaining part of the 2nd quarter, we are going to kick off the adaptation of farm equipment to run on biogas for our medium and large scale farmers. This marks the next phase of the biodigester value chain in Kenya. It will enable farmers to accrue more benefits from our technology by making use of the huge amount of wastes generated from their farms.

Meet our new customer care team

There are a lot of activities going on across the departments- our Hybrid Reactor Biodigester has quickly become the most popular digester in Africa and around the world. To complement this, we have set up a dedicated customer care team in Kenya that offers unmatched customer experience to ensure sustained use and delight by stakeholders in our products and services. Our technical and sales team have also expanded to 37 team members by the end of May  to adequately serve the growing customer base in Kiambu, Kericho, Meru and Bomet Counties.

The Customer Service Team runs a dedicated call center with staff who answers the Customer service line and engages the clients before linking them up with the relevant departments that provides hands-on assistance with the objective of following up all the cases that we receive from different Counties.  This department is a part that complements Sistema.bio’s methodology to ensure the technology adoption and our long-term commitment to provide unprecedented customer experience. By doing this Sistema.bio strengths one of the core values of the company: making biogas an accessible and an understandable technology that allows farmers increase the productivity at their farms at their own rhythm ensuring a sustained use of it’s products and services.

The team aims to speak with all the clients in Q2 and ensure that the Hybrid Reactors are working correctly, clients are using the digesters and are happy about the product.
